We are honored to announce Kristin Hammett as our Director of Ministry Services. Kristin brings a wealth of development experience and a heart for the Kingdom. Get to know her more here in her story. Make sure to sign up for The Signatry ministry emails to hear more updates from Kristin.

My own generosity journey began long before I entered into the nonprofit world. My husband, Mark, and I were newlyweds, and our church did a capital campaign. This was the first test of our unity in giving. We each prayed about an amount. Honestly, I forgot to pray, but I pretended I prayed.

We shared our amounts, and mine was exactly half of my husband’s amount. Fearing I’d appear less faithful or perhaps argumentative in our marriage, I reluctantly agreed to the greater amount.

That was a Sunday. The following Wednesday our tax accountant called with our tax return amount. Can you guess what the amount was? It was exactly the difference between our two giving amounts. Yep. God always shows up. I was more generous, and more trusting, after that.

I first learned about The Signatry when Mark and I led a group through Crown Financial Concepts. The idea of generosity grabbed hold of my heart when we read 1 Chronicles 29:11, which declares God owns it all. As a steward of His resources, I began to become more passionate about giving and sharing those resources.

I served as a development director for 5 years, and a development consultant for the past 6 years. As a development officer, I began to see my role as a facilitator of resources. I had the privilege of working with donors and prospective donors to share about the work God is doing around them and inviting them to be a part of it. Ministry development leaders have the privilege of seeing His work and His resources meet. It is an exciting place to be!

That is similar to my role as Director of Ministry Services at The Signatry. I have the privilege of encouraging, equipping, and partnering with ministries. My goal is to serve you, so you can serve your donor better. I am for you.

Henry Blackaby famously penned the words in his Bible study book, Experiencing God, “Watch to see where God is working and join Him in His work.” God is at work in ministries around the globe, and He is at work at The Signatry. I’m excited to join Him by partnering with ministries to cultivate generosity and His work through ministry.
