The position will be responsible for donor fund accounting and cash management for The Signatry donor advised funds in our Give Interactive software platform. This position will manage funds movement within the system, complete bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries for upload to our accounting software. This position will serve as the primary point of contact with our bank to ensure all banking related issues are addressed and resolved.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Develop new processes and take the lead role in driving projects through our donor advised fund platform, Give Interactive, a relatively new software system for The Signatry. This requires the desire and ability to analyze issues and formulate approaches and drive processes through the Team.
  2. Complete month end closing for the donor advised fund activity in Give Interactive, including preparing and recording journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and developing variance analysis.
  3. Manage the money movement function within Give Interactive ensuring that all funds are properly accounted for at the donor fund level. This will involve developing a sound understanding of the Give System, the investment pools, advisor managed accounts and our bank accounts.
  4. Manage the treasury management functions for the donor advised funds banking activity including,
    • Manage cryptocurrency donations
    • Positive Pay
    • Charity ACH payment corrections
    • Research and resolve any issues with wire or ACH instructions
  5. Complete monthly bank reconciliations for our contribution and grant accounts, and our investment pools, including ensuring complete documentation and audit trail is maintained between Give Interactive, the bank, the custodian(s), and our Intacct accounting software.
  6. Partner with the Donor Fund Analyst to ensure that all advisor managed account activity and investment positions are posted in Give Interactive and reconciled to the brokerage account statement monthly.
  7. Prepare all journal entries for the donor fund activity in Give Interactive and upload to our Intacct accounting software. Complete and maintain all account reconciliations and the audit trail between Give Interactive and Intacct. Develop and prepare reporting for analysis, KPIs and overall documentation.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation for accruals, cash reconciliations and other journals to comply with Signatry accounting policies, internal controls and to support the annual external audit and the 990-tax return.
  9. Complete other assignments and projects as assigned

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Alignment with The Signatry values and statement of faith
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with 1-5 years of experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities. Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Effective communication skills required to convey information and analysis clearly
  • Ability to complete independent research and develop recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and move projects and assignments to successful completion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment and react quickly to changes in direction
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and meet deadlines

Work Location: This position is full time and located in our Corporate office in Overland Park, KS. This position can be a hybrid position combining work from home and in office.

Salary Range: TBD
