The Gift Processing Coordinator position ensures the accurate recording and receipting of gifts into donor advised funds (DAFs) at The Signatry. This position has significant responsibilities in the areas of data entry, gift entry, and donor stewardship that requires a good working relationship with the rest of the Donor Care, the Finance team, and other internal and client-facing colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Process gifts (cash, checks, securities, credit cards, bank drafts, etc.) based on current policies and procedures, utilizing the Give Interactive platform
  2. Responsible for keeping the gift receipt and statement process accurate, timely, and on track.
  3. Documentation of soft credits for ongoing relationship maintenance in particular instances.
  4. Use the Merchant Capture system to deposit paper checks to our bank account. Prepare the deposit report and provide to Finance to support the bank reconciliations for each deposit.
  5. Receives gift information from diverse sources, researching to complete and verify missing details in preparation for data entry.
  6. Collaborates with the Donor Care team to serve donors with welcome correspondence, gift inquiries, and follow up on donor problems where appropriate.
  7. Answers or refers inquiries from donors, ministries, advisors, and the general public regarding established policies and procedures.
  8. Maintains confidentiality of donor information.
  9. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating files and recordkeeping systems; paper and/or electronic.
  10. Share in clerical/administrative support for the Donor Care team including answering telephones and taking accurate messages, as needed.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience preferred in development of gift reporting processes and execution of those with an accounting background
  • Alignment with The Signatry values and statement of faith
  • Strong, detail-oriented multi-tasker that consistently meets deadlines
  • Process-driven, with the ability and desire to learn new systems
  • Organized, adaptable, and flexible
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, with an eye towards efficiency and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Word and Excel; generally technology-savvy, with experience using cloud-based platforms
  • Comfortable with a behind-the-scenes role
  • A servant’s heart, with an appreciation for internal and external relationship building

Work Location:This position is located at our corporate office in Overland Park, KS.

Salary Range: $40k – $45k
