The position will be responsible for donor fund accounting for The Signatry donor advised funds in our Give Interactive software platform.  This position will complete bank reconciliations and maintain the audit trail for the advisor-managed accounts.  This position will work with the Finance Give Interactive team and several of our internal teams to ensure sound financial accounting around a specific set of accounts and any issues are addressed in a thorough and timely manner. Position reports to the Director of Donor Advised Fund Accounting.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Complete month end closing for the advisor-managed accounts activity in Give Interactive, including preparing and recording journal entries, completing financial data uploads, and completing account reconciliations.
  2. Maintain an inventory of all advisor-managed accounts within the Give Interactive software and its relationship to the accounting software’s chart of accounts.
  3. Manage the organization and storage of monthly brokerage account statements for all advisor-managed accounts. Maintain a solid audit trail for data uploads and journal entries.
  4. Partner with the Staff Accountant & Treasury Analyst to ensure that all advisor managed account activity and investment positions are posted in Give Interactive and reconciled to the brokerage account statement monthly.
  5. Partner with multiple internal teams to identify, report, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  6. Complete other assignments and projects as assigned

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Alignment with The Signatry values and statement of faith
  • Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance with 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities. Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Effective communication skills required to convey information and analysis clearly
  • Ability to complete research and develop recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and move projects and assignments to successful completion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment and react quickly to changes in direction
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and meet deadlines

Work Location

This position is full time and located in our Corporate office in Overland Park, KS.  This position can be a hybrid position combining work from home and in office.

Salary Range

Starting salary is $48k – $55k, based on experience.
