2024 Annual Report
What does it look like when a family partners with The Signatry? Join us as we
walk alongside the journey of using a donor advised fund.
Who We Are
Our Mission
To inspire and facilitate revolutionary, biblical generosity across generations to solve the world’s greatest problems.
Our Vision
To write the last check to the last missionary to reach the last unreached people group so the last person can hear the gospel.
New Donors & Funds
Opening a donor-advised fund is a declaration of purpose. Families choose a sponsor organization that can partner to support nonprofits in line with their values. Our donor families partner with us because they share our commitment to building God’s kingdom and bringing the hope of the gospel to all.

The Almirola Family’s Leap of Generosity
Opening a DAF is a leap of faith. By taking that leap, the Almirola family has found a practical way to practice cheerful generosity that will last for generations.
Contributions
Generosity looks different in every family. Donor advised funds provide the flexibility for families to determine what giving habits work best for them.
For example, DAFs offer the opportunity to practice generosity with resources beyond cash; it is also possible to give publicly traded stocks, private business interests, real estate, and other assets. When donor families realize that almost any asset in their portfolio can be used to fuel kingdom work, they often unlock a deeper commitment to give abundantly and creatively.

Why Give Non Liquid Assets?
Donating assets can help families save on taxes, transforming those tax savings into real-world impact. The nonliquid asset donors we met in 2024 share our entrepreneurial spirit and our desire to find the best, most creative solutions to maximize kingdom impact. These relationships are some of our most cherished.
This year, we have walked with families through the donation and liquidation process for assets like:
- A distributor producing manufacturing equipment
- An electrical equipment distributer
- A warehouse building
- An apartment building
A Portfolio that Does More
Real Estate Gifts in Action
“[Other organizations] are not able to handle gifts like real estate. … There are a lot of intricacies involved. The Signatry has been phenomenal, both from a knowledge perspective and because they’re aligned with my beliefs. We know we’re trying to work in the same direction.”
Brent Haverkamp
Investing
The funds in a DAF can be invested, and any growth that results is tax-free, increasing the funds available for kingdom work. Our donors can recommend a variety of different investment strategies, choosing the option that best aligns with their vision for impact and generosity, including alternative investments and biblically responsible investment pools.
Alternative Investments
Alternative investing allows the balance of a DAF to be invested in vetted private opportunities that have a strong missional alignment with The Signatry. In 2024, we partnered with 77 donor families to invest in 238 values-aligned enterprises, many of which are mission-driven to tackle the world’s greatest problems.
Faith-driven Investments for Impact Today
David & Casey Trogden’s Story
“We’re a little bit on the bleeding edge, but I think it’s an incredible, responsible way to invest. It’s another way we can have good, positive kingdom impact now, with dollars that we may not grant out for a number of years.”
David Trogden
Grants
Families who advise DAFs at The Signatry make recommendations to send grants to nonprofits they want to support. Our team reviews the recommendation, vets the recipient for values alignment and good legal standing, then sends the grant straight to the nonprofit. This is how we connect God’s resources with God’s workers—the donors with the doers.
Our Donors Made a Record Number of Grant Recommendations Throughout the Year
Our Donors Helped Us Send over $746 Million in Grants During a Single Year
Nonprofits Supported
Nonprofit organizations are critical partners in our shared mission to solve the world’s greatest problems and bring the hope of the gospel to all. Donor families strategically support their work, providing financial fuel and, in some cases, offering other resources like their professional expertise or networks to amplify impact.

Champion a Cause
Many of the families in our community discover they can amplify their impact by organizing their generosity around a central cause. In 2024, we connected with three generous families to share their stories of becoming cause champions.
“It’s incredible to see how the Lord has used a tiny little ‘yes’—yes to a trip, yes to getting involved locally—to create something bigger than we ever could have imagined.”
Betsy Mitchell
“It’s a cause I identify with. I want to be part of the group that ends modern slavery … with my professional network, my resources, my creativity, and my passion.”
Peter McGowan
“If you can change lives that have a life-long trajectory to live for kingdom purposes … that’s a 60-, 70-, 80-year path.”
Taylor Clark
