2025
Annual Report
Our mission is to inspire and facilitate revolutionary, biblical generosity across generations to solve the world’s greatest problems.
Our vision is to write the last check to the last missionary to reach the last unreached people group — so the last person can hear the gospel.

Give.
Generosity begins with obedience.
God calls his people to give as an act of trust, worship, and care for his creation. When we answer that call, our giving becomes a reflection of his own abundant grace.
At The Signatry, we walk alongside families who have followed this call to give, partnering with them to advance God’s kingdom and multiply impact around the world.
“Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
1 Chronicles 29:11b-14

The Kouplen Family
Shared Values & Godly Stewardship
Finding a trustworthy charitable giving partner
Choosing a giving partner is an important part of our role as stewards of God’s resources.
“We made the decision to switch over to The Signatry because of what the organization stands for. There’s a comfort level in dealing with a DAF sponsor that has the same set of values our family has.”
Contributions
With a donor advised fund, families can design giving rhythms that fit their unique lives and passions — expanding beyond cash to donate publicly traded stock, private business interests, real estate, and more.

Why give nonliquid assets?
Most wealthy families in the U.S. hold over 90% of their portfolio in nonliquid assets — stocks, private businesses, alternative investments, real estate, and more. With a donor advised fund, any of these assets are available for generosity.
Donating nonliquid assets lets a donor leverage their whole portfolio for impact while offering tax savings that minimize taxes and maximize what goes to charity. Each gift creates a unique partnership: we collaborate to find the best giving strategy and walk alongside families as they prepare for an exit and begin the next season of life.
In 2025, we walked with families through gifts of:
- Real estate – homes, vacation and rental properties
- Real estate development projects
- Manufacturing and food service companies
- Other invested assets

The Roland Family
Generosity-first Business
Making the Lord a stakeholder
Brian and Krista Roland donated part of their business to a donor advised fund at The Signatry. Once the business sold, the gift fueled their ministry in child sponsorship and education — even taking them across the Atlantic to break ground on a new school in Rwanda.
“We were making the Lord a stakeholder in our business. It cemented what we were already doing.”
Grow.
Generosity is not static.
Funds in a donor advised fund can be invested — which means contributions to a DAF are already poised to grow for greater impact and to support impact-driven businesses.
Our donors can recommend a variety of investment options. The resulting growth is generally tax-free, increasing the resources available for kingdom work.
“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
Jeremiah 29:7
Alternative Investments
Using your God-given skills to build a successful company or career can be highly fulfilling — and our donors often discover they are ready to apply those same skills to a generosity journey.
A portion of a fund’s balance may be invested in vetted private opportunities that show strong growth or impact potential.
Learn more about Alternative InvestmentsIn 2025, we partnered with 31 donor families to make 78 investments totaling $66,420,339.

The Joyner Family
Impact beyond the traditional nonprofit box
Multiplying charitable dollars so they last
As entrepreneurs and investors, they wondered: how could we take our charitable dollars and multiply them so they last for years? How could we seed new nonprofit initiatives that struggle to attract traditional charitable capital? Alternative investments in a donor advised fund at The Signatry have unlocked these kinds of opportunities.

Grant.
The hands and feet of Jesus.
When donors and doers come together, we see the body of Christ uniting to become the hands and feet of Jesus around the world.
Giving to a donor advised fund prepares families to meet needs, big or small, at the strategically opportune moment, uplifting our brothers and sisters around the world.
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, ‘Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you’ — when you already have it with you.”
Proverbs 3:27-28

Champion a Cause
Generosity is a high calling—often a joy, but sometimes an overwhelming decision. With so many problems facing so many people, where do you start?
Many of the families we work with discover they can amplify their impact and their joy by organizing their generosity around one or two core causes. In 2025, we partnered with two generous families to share their stories of becoming cause champions.

Taking the next right step
We met up with Brian and Krista Roland, and their daughters, to break ground at a new Christian school in Rwanda — but that’s not where their story began. Once they discovered their interest in supporting economically vulnerable children, they took stock of what other unique resources they could employ for the cause. The more they looked, the more they found.
